well, remember this post? on wednesday, i took the next step and put my little face into the hands of a professional. or, something like this. my friend andreea, who also writes the really smart blog "my beautyblog", offered to show me some tricks and to do my make-up.
it was a lot of fun, actually, and i'm not half as frightened in front of the make-up counters as i used to. she really helped me in deciding what i want, and what i don't want. of course we do not agree on everything, but that doesn't matter so much, as those things are minor points. she is a fighter for eco-friendly sustainable natural cosmetics, and as i do care a lot about what i put on my skin and into my face, i totally agree with her choices for me when it comes to brands.
andreea does promote, on every occasion, a natural cosmetics brand called dr.hauschka, and she convinced me as well as some other friends with very little efford. so, after a fun make-up session at her place, i took a heart and went to hamburg on a small shopping trip. the dr.hauschka stuff is cheaper than for example mac or nars or bobbi brown or all those other high end brands, but when you start from the beginning they can burn a hole into your pockets.
so, i only bought two things, but they are essentials: an eye-shadow palette (from their stone colours limited edition) and a concealer. the eye-shadow palette features four matte colours, off white, a soft grey, a brown-grey tone and anthracite, you can see it on the picture above. perfect for me. if my stuff on ebay sells well, i'll get powder and rouge as soon as the money is in, but until then i'll have to wait some more.

Sehr gut! Aber in der Anwendung musst du es jetzt auch noch zeigen. Ich nehme seit Jahren das gleiche Zeug (Nivea beauté und MAC), sollte vielleicht auch mal wieder herum probieren.
jag använder mac puder & foundation, en concealer från mac, en concealer med 3 nyanser från makeup store, mascara från max factor masterpiece mascara den svarta förpackningen. det är typ min vardags makeup, om jag går ut vilket inte är ofta så är det samma fast eyeliner. läppstift nu när jag har besamé.
@ dotti: ich weiß. aber erstmal üben im stillen kämmerchen. außerdem brauche ich noch so ein paar grundsätzliche dinge, pinsel und puder z.b. aber. bald. ich verspreche!
@ linnea: alltid gärna! berätta gärna vad du tyckte och om du ska göra det.. du verkar ha en kul butik, det är verkligen synd att jag inte är i göteborg ofta alls..
@ betty lou: tack! ja, besame har jag ju ocksá, fast deras mascara ger tyvärr inte sá mycket färg som man skulle önska sig. läppstiften kommer säkert pá ganska snart, de är fina. snacka högpigmenterad! mac hade jag tänkt titta pá lite närmare ocksá en gáng. fár se.
har i puder-form båda, täcker väldigt bra. vill dock testa mineral-smink men det får bli när jag har bättre ekonomi

...well I found out anyway that without ridiculous expensive brushes, make-up is not working that well. MAC brushes are very good, but expensive, buying them on *bay might get you some fakes. da Vinci, the german brand for professional brushes, is also pretty expensive. however, brushes last some years if you do not wash them to often.
Fröken Lilla and I did not agree on the lipgloss *lol* she finds it way too sparkling on her beautifull mouth. Fine with me, I just thing it is the fastest way to get some freshness. The red lipstick fits her outfits, but she bought warm red - that will make her look bland and rather peaky.
So she has to look for a different, cold red. cherry-red.
