more kitchen

finishing an apartment takes time. with the help of my brother who visited last week, i put up a couple of posters:

the keep calm poster was a present and can be found in many shapes and sizes on etsy. the poster on the top is actually a vintage kitchen towel, and the one underneath with a print of scandinavian design classics is also from etsy.

this clock finally saw the light of day again after having been confined to a moving box for about two years.

and last but not least: a selfmade calendar with postcards from ikea, next to our wine-rack on the kitchen wall.

a new baby

i finally made up my mind and ordered a new computer. as i am just about to start writing my thesis (magisterarbeit) i thought that this was a good idea. i just don't want my good old pal here to break down right when i'm half way through with all the work. of course, it wasn't easy to decide, but the possibility to actually get a notebook in my favourite colour helped me a lot on the way:

so today i ordered a brandnew and very stylish lila dell studio 15 (picture from dell's webpage), and i just hope i won't be disappointed. i don't know how long it will take to deliver the baby, but i guess it'll be something around 2 weeks. guess who's excited and feels she just cannot wait!!!

perfect glass

i don't know how they do it, but when it comes to designing nice glass, finnish Iittala is just plain best. one of their collaborations with marimekko, the maribowl, has been haunting me these days, and the craving does not seem to go away. i wish i wish!!!

i mean, look at the small details! it looks almost as if it was made of coloured ice, the form is classic and it comes in don't ask me how many different colours....

it's just plain perfect glass. for dessert, ice cream, cookies, pralinés, cherries, whatever you love.
